Why can't I get BigPond ADSL Broadband?
The common reason that people can't get ADSL is because ADSL isn't available at your local telephone exchange, or you live too far from the exchange.
Your phone line may be supporting services that interfere with ADSL. The most common examples are alarms and wall phones.
There's no 'clean copper path' connecting your phone and your local exchange.
Whatever your situation, Telstra can investigate your options for you. Simply call BigPond Sales Centre on 13POND (137663) to have your phone service tested - and see if it is available after all.

BigPond Cable Broadband uses the same cable as Foxtel Pay-TV, which has only been rolled out in certain areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and the Gold Coast. However, we can offer you other ultra-fast broadband options.
If you believe that Telstra's cable network is available in your street and you have received a negative result, please ensure you've entered your details correctly. Any errors (spelling, wrong postcode or suburb, etc) may lead to an incorrect result. If you're doubt about any of your details, try a search with all the possibilities you can remember.
Also, if you live in an apartment or townhouse and have received a negative result, it may be that your building or complex hasn't been 'back-boned' for BigPond Cable Broadband. If you think this may be the case, contact BigPond Sales Centre. We'll be happy to look into the options for 'back-boning' your complex.

BigPond Broadband Cable is only available using the same cable that carries Foxtel Pay-TV. This cable has only been laid along streets in certain areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth. If you don't have access to the Foxtel Pay-TV cable, you won't be able to access BigPond Broadband Cable. Try our other Broadband options - BigPond Broadband ADSL or Mobile BroadBand.

If you think this may be the cas, contact the BigPond Sales Centre to investigate the options for 'back-boning' your complex.

Telstra cannot guarantee your service delivery if your home has not been wired to the Velocity cabling requirements.
